A Visual Journey of Italian Summer

A nostalgia for the Italian summer: an icy drink under the scorching sun; dinner under a pergola, falling asleep as a child while your parents finish their dinner, being lulled by the restaurant’s muffled conversations. The seaside after dusk, when you would spend that extra hour in water with high school friends, feeling extra cool while the lifeguard folds the deck chairs and closes the sunshades.

Almost like vintage postcards these scenes are still, timeless, tell a story and none, show a city and none, in a performance that is a tango between an archetypical Italy in the visitor’s mind and a tale of beauty constantly performed by locals themselves.
