Meet Ludovica and Ginevra Fagioli of Caftanii

The soul of Caftanii, an atelier that offers a fascinating and timeless way to wear everyday pieces

CAFTANII feels elegant and timeless but at the same time comfortable…what was your main inspiration? When and how did it come along?

We wanted to offer a charming and timeless way to wear an everyday, seasonless piece whose delicate lines make women feel the true meaning of beauty and elegance. Our mom is our muse since day 1, she has always worn white linen caftans in summertime and she has always taught us not to forget good manners and to pay attention to details and to be gentle. These were and still are the most important guidelines when we create our collections. Our first Spring Summer Collection was in 2017 and our mission is since that moment to communicate a sensual and casual femininity without any excess, just by being oneself.

What are a few of your favorite / go-to spots in Florence?

We are so lucky to be born in Florence and we are in love with every single corner of it! We were born and grown up in the left back of the Arno River – called “Oltrarno”- that’s the reason why most of our favorite places are in this neighbourhood.

Our favorite Trattorie are: Cammillo; Alla Vecchia Bettola and Ruggero; and Momoyama for Japanese food.

We love walking around Florence, especially in the Oltrano area – Piazza Santo Spirito; Boboli gardens, Palazzo Pitti, Borgo San Jacopo, Via maggio; San Niccolò neighborhood.
