Description

We’re obsessed with the whimsical candles from Cereria Introna, a family-run workshop in Bari, Puglia. Italians are notoriously superstitious. This corno portafortuna, or lucky horn, is usually worn around the neck to protect the wearer from the evil eye or any general misfortune. This candle is a two-in-one: a good luck charm and a decor piece that looks like it belongs in the MoMA.

INFO

Cereria Introna has been producing candles in Puglia since 1840. The company is led by brothers Vincenzo and Rossella Introna–who now represent the sixth generation–with around 15 employees. They make candles for every type of occasion, all handcrafted using paraffin, a high-quality natural wax. The wicks used are pure cotton, so all candles absorb smoke and do not drip.
