Qual è il suo ristorante preferito e qual è il suo piatto preferito da ordinare? (Favorite restaurant and what to order?)  

Ristorante Borgo San Jacopo–1 stella Michelin–in uno dei quartieri più tipici della città, Oltrarno, con una vista incredibile su Arno e Ponte Vecchio. Di grande atmosfera e da qualche mese con un nuovo chef in cucina: Claudio Mengoni con il suo stile semplice. Consiglio: in estate prenotate uno dei tavoli in terrazza; in inverno suggerisco un tavolo sul soppalco, con vista sull’arno.

It has a great atmosphere and a talented new chef, Claudio Mengoni. Tip: in the summer, book one of the tables on the terrace; in winter I recommend a table on the loft, with a view of the Arno.)

Qual è la sua gita fuori porta preferita? (Your favorite Italian weekend getaway?)

Amando molto il mare–una delle mie mete preferite è la costa della Maremma dove si trovano oltre a belle spiagge ed un mare cristallino anche borghi storici e riserve naturali e da dove è possibile raggiungere in barca il parco nazionale dell’arcipelago toscano che dista poche miglia.  Il mio punto di partenza ideale è la Marina di Scarlino.

(I love the sea–one of my favorite destinations is the coast of the Maremma, where, besides beautiful beaches and crystal clear sea, there are also historic villages and nature reserves. Also, it’s possible to reach by boat the national park of the Tuscan Archipelago, a few miles away. My ideal starting point is the Marina di Scarlino.)
