The Great Tuscan Landscape: Castles & Vintage Cars
A Three-Day Tuscan Retreat in Partnership with The Drivers Club
Italy Segreta, in partnership with The Drivers Club, is proud to present the first Driving Retreat in Tuscany, the land of the Medici, on board glamorous classic cars. The three-day itinerary–bookable privately for couples or for groups of friends and family–includes 1970s convertibles, two-seater drop-top (cabriolets), perfect for easy going cruising through the Tuscan landscapes: just choose between the 1982 Fiat 124 Spider Europa, the 1979 MGB Alfa Romeo Duetto 4 series, the Triumph Spitfire 1500 or the 1964 Fiat 1500 Cabrio.
This driving retreat takes you to the heart of Tuscany’s most iconic and spectacular landscapes. Each route explores different natural ecosystems of the region, and while driving through gentle undulations, rows of cypress trees, medieval fortifications and fine Brunello vineyards, guests will discover Tuscany’s most interesting and authentic cultural, artistic and culinary stops.
The elegant base for this trip to Tuscany is the five star Castello di Spaltenna in Chianti, from which the scenic state and provincial roads lead to Val d’Orcia, Florence, Siena and Val d’Elsa. There are six gourmet experiences–including traditional trattorias, classic Tuscan restaurants and Michelin-starred fine dining–and one wine tasting in a prestigious estate.
Each road trip is supervised by an expert tour leader who precedes the cars with a pace car: all guests have to do is enjoy the scenery, the roads, the hospitality and the great cuisine.
